Welcome to Westwell
Westwell was founded in 1980 to undertake and improve the In-Situ machining activities of its parent company, John D Hotchkiss, and to offer a rapid response to requests for plant repairs both at home and abroad.
The specialized In-Situ machinery such as portable rotary lathes, flange facing machines, keyway cutting machines and on site milling, turning and grinding beds are housed at our Rochester, Kent workshop, as well as a small machine shop in which we undertake precision and general machining, milling, turning and grinding, etc.
We also have the facility of through shop craneage of 8 Tonnes which enables us to carry out refurbishment and rebuilding of plant and machinery.
Our on site activities have developed into plant installation and major machine rebuilds, utilizing our expertise and specialist facilities. These include technicians and skilled engineers proficient in the use of the latest technical aids, such as laser and optical alignment and leveling equipment.
